Good Sport Physio Clinic was founded in 1997 by practice partners Robyn Armstrong and Kathy Finlay, and has been operating in its current location since then. In 2017 Joe Howland replaced Kathy as practice principal, and he is excited and committed to continuing Kathy’s foundation work while bringing his own specialized interests to the clinic. Both Robyn and Joe have extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions; with hands on treatment and exercise prescription being at the forefront in the management of their patients, with a focus on functional and long term recovery.
Robyn ArmstrongB App Science (Physio)
A Canberra resident since 1986, Robyn joined Good Sport Physiotherapy in 1990 and became a partner in the business in 1996. As the owner of the business for over 20 years, Robyn has an enormous background in all aspects of private practice physiotherapy.
Robyn attained her Sports Physiotherapy Title in 1997, and was the Ainslie Football Club game day physio (15 years), a physio to women’s junior soccer teams, and a physio to cycling teams both internationally and nationally. Robyn has also enjoyed working with squash players and golfers, trying to get them back to their sport after injury.
It has been Robyn’s expertise in astute diagnosis and her capacity to determine the most appropriate treatment in general physiotherapy that has given her a strong following with her patients. Robyn places the interests of the patient at the fore and always shows empathy to those who engage her.
When not at work, Robyn enjoys getting out on the golf course and has that eternal goal of reducing her handicap. Robyn is passionate about trying to keep people involved in the activities they enjoy, and loves nothing more than seeing them get back to those activities after an injury.
